How do I get my ex back after cheating?

So I did the single most stupid thing I could have ever done. 4 months ago, I cheated on my girlfriend…I told her and things have not been the same ever since. After losing her, I realised how much she means to me and how I really have no desire to be with any other woman. I tell her that but she doesn’t trust me at all.

We’ve recently tried to work things out because we both care deeply for one another but she is very hot and cold with me. For the last couple of months it has been an emotional roller coaster for me. One day, she loves me and the next she can‘t stand me and she is full of anger and resentment that I have done nothing to trigger.

She keeps harboring these ill feelings toward me and sometimes even says she has no respect for me anymore. I have tried so hard to make things better. To make up for my actions but I don’t know what to say or do to help her through those feelings.

I don’t need to be told to move on because I tried to do that and it didn’t matter. She’s all I want so I‘m willing to be as patient as I need to be, I just need advice on what she needs from me right now.
